“Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare it for today”
A great teacher makes learning fun as it is pivotal to a student’s academic success. It is not an exaggeration to say that a great teacher can change a student’s life. Making classrooms an exciting environment for learning will allure the students. They learn best when they are both interested and challenged.
It is not always easy to change a student’s life, which is why it takes a great teacher to do so. Some students just need an extra push, and others may be agitating with their personal lives and need someone to talk. Whatever the student needs to help them surpass, a life-changing teacher will be there for them.
Education begins at home and connects us to several roads, i.e., school, college, and several more places. Without any doubt, a parent is a child’s first teacher, who teaches them the values, cultural ethics, and religious beliefs that constitute the basic form of knowledge, as the home is the child’s first place to learn.
“Better than a thousand days of diligent study is one day with a great teacher”
Teachers who help us grow as people are responsible for imparting some of life’s most important lessons. They give moral support and encourage us to live equally in this society and treat everyone equally. Teaching us the importance of life and put on the right track to ensure that we are capable enough to survive in this society. Making a beautiful statue from an unshaped stone. Making us more knowledgeable and enable a proper flow of knowledge from one generation to another. Without teachers, all would be barbarians.
Being a teacher is much more than just executing lesson plans. In today’s world, teaching is a polymorphic profession, teachers often carry the roles of a third parent, mentor, counselor, role model, planner, and many other related roles. Teachers can be a constant positive role model for their students, particularly for children that lack a solid family foundation.
“Technology is just a tool. In terms of getting the students to work together and motivating them, the teacher is the most important”
The roles of a teacher today are considerably different than they used to be. Before they were issued a specific curriculum to teach and a set of instructions on how to teach, using the same methods for all students. In today’s world, a teacher’s role is quite polymorphic. Besides teaching they counsel students and help them learn how to use their knowledge, and integrate it into their lives so they become valuable members of society. Teachers are encouraged to amend learning methods to each student’s learning, to challenge and inspire them to learn.
In 2020, due to COVID-19, the role of teachers has reformed and at least 80% of teachers have adjusted to this technological method of teaching and it came as a boon to the students who otherwise would have lost valuable time for studies. All educational institutions are busy creating their online study modules that incorporate subject knowledge, performing arts, physical education, and even counseling.
The warriors of COVID-19 Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics, Police Officers, etc. and the heroes of our nation, i.e., the soldiers are nothing without a “TEACHER”. No matter how great a post is, a teacher’s basic contribution is what makes humans reach such levels. A teacher is the first and foremost need of our society. It is because of them that all the other professions and places get filled with the students and employees.
“Everyone who remembers his education remembers teachers, not methods, and techniques. The teacher is the heart of the educational system”
